  1. Someone coined the phrase,”Successful Inspite Of One’s Self,” and I have learned this to be so true in a privately owned company. In a corporation one must answer to the Stock-Holders, here we have a different set of rules and reporting structure.
Those at the top lack leadership, communication skills, managurial and people skills and yet the business is successful. Open for business approximately 150 days a year and doing 40 million in sales, proud to say shrink at .11% or a lost of only $30,000.(at my location)
This is accomplished strickly by the employees who care enough about their families to work as a team with a few managers here who train, direct and communicate effectively such as myself with one important ingriedent, Respect.
John you are right on as I know the R.O.I. could be so much greater if those at the top would take the time to learn the things you offer. I have always been a cockeyed optimist and one whose glass is usually always half-full, so maybe things will change if you and/or others can get the right message to the right people in a privetly owned business. It is a pleasure knowing you.
    Thanks ………Tom
