Welcome to John Slimp Training and Development!
I thought I would tell you a little about myself so you know who you are dealing with and what I am all about.
I grew up in St. Louis Missouri, one of two children of a middle class family. I attended Catholic Grade School and public High School. I started working when I was 14 as a lawn boy cutting grass at the Holiday Inn. In High School I started working at a Men’s Clothing Store and that’s where the customer service bug really bit!
I attended the University of Missouri at St. Louis where I earned my degree in Sociology and Psychology. This is where I learned the book part of effectively dealing with people. Education teaches you the theory but it is life experience that teaches you the practical aspects.
I spent the next 30 years in Corporate America. I decided to start my Leadership, Management and Sales Training Company because I have seen so many opportunities in business to improve performance, save time and money and to bring joy, happiness and success back into the workplace. I don’t think business owners capitalize on these opportunities and I want to help you create a path to reach your full potential and greatness.
The basis of any company is the 3-P’s: People, Profit and Product.
Product: The harsh reality is that no matter what you are selling so are a lot of other people!
Profit: Here is another harsh reality; you’re not going to make any unless you can distinguish your goods or services from everyone else’s!
People: Now here is the difference! YOU! Your TEAM! Your LEADERSHIP! It is PEOPLE that make all the difference! I know you are saying that you have heard this before, my question to you is; “WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT”?
I work with individuals and organizations to help them:
